We’re supporting Alice’s patients and her career.
Alice Manuel
Staff Nurse II – Newborn Nursery
How long have you been at PCMH?
“I started in 2003 as an RN in the CSIU.”
Why nursing?
“I had a strong interest in E.V. and in disease management. Eventually I’d like to be in the Great 100 or be on the list of Institute of Nursing Excellence.”
Why nursing here?
“We have a great team and we work so well together. Support is available when needed. Also, this is a tertiary referral center, so it’s a center of excellence for many specialties. I’m also able to travel to both the sea and mountains from Greenville. This also makes it easier to access the hospital, university, theatres, and great restaurants.”
What’s the best part of your day?
“All of the staff support, appreciation, and encouragement that we get from patients and staff. I worked on the Endocrine team, teaching the new grads in GFTG and cornerstone program and taught facilitators for GFTG. That was very rewarding.”

Any parting thoughts?
“As long as I can remember, I have always been one of those positive, do your very best kind of people. In my time at PCMH, these philosophies have remained the same.”
